The Blink plugin for Microsoft Outlook allows you to quickly upload (archive) an email from MS Outlook to Blink.

The plugin puts a small toolbar in Outlook when installed. The toolbar allows you to select a Contact / Enquiry / Client and archive the email against the chosen record/s in Blink.

How to install the plugin

You will be provided with a link to download a file called BlinkOutlookPluginSetup.msi, this file is the installation program. Save the.msi file to your desktop or a location that you will remember.

Ensure that Outlook is closed on your PC. You can not successfully install the plugin if you have Outlook open.

Double click on the .msi file, this will commence the installation process. You will be presented with a number of screens, follow the on-screen steps to complete the install.

If you get an error message see the "Pre-requisites" note below.

When the installer has completed open Outlook and you will notice a new toolbar - see picture below (the picture is from Outlook 2010 version, if you are running outlook 2007 it will look different to the picture below):

There will also be a new button on the email reading window - see picture below (Outlook 2010 version):

Pre-requisites: The add-in requires a standard Microsoft pre-requisite (the add-in uses Visual Studio Tools for Office). The installer will check for pre-requisites when installing and notify you if a pre-requisite is required. In the unlikely event that you will be required to install a pre-requisite then Blink will provide you with a download link for the pre-requisite installer – please contact us at support@thinkblink.com.au

You are now ready to set up the plugin to work.
